The chair whose arms are decorated with lion-shaped sculptures is the seat of the king who also acts as the chief judge. The chair which has a sculptured ox is the seat of the priest who serves as a lawyer and also the king’s advisor in making every decision. And armrests decorated with dragon-shaped sculptures are seats for kanca or clerks. While the litigants, both the plaintiff and the defendant, sat on the floor in cross-legged positions with polite manners.

Several paintings and engravings adorn the ceiling of the building, each depicting interesting stories. One of them tells about the punishment received by humans in the afterlife according to their respective karmas, which are based on their actions in the world. And there are many more stories that are told through paintings and carvings whose characters are tangible puppets.
